Course Outline: This is an orientation class for new students in the Faculty of Economics. This class is intended to familiarize students with our school and university life. Topics will include school facilities and services, goal setting, time management, résumé writing, note taking, research strategies and presentations skills. This class will be conducted in English.

Classroom Procedure: Short lectures will be followed by pair or small group work. Seating will change each week so that students will have a chance to meet and interact with each of their classmates. Students will be required to compile a portfolio of useful information such as schedule, timetable, weekly planner, library guide, etc.

Evaluation: You will need a minimum of 60 points for both (1) and (2).

(1) Participation 10 x 10 = 100 points

(2) Assignments 10 x 10 = 100 points
